RESTAURANT AND CAFETERIA – Marbella – SPAIN / 1975
The “Urbanización Benamara” had sold 08 of the 80 houses with 3 and 4 bedrooms, built around a large garden with two large swimming pools.
We bet on the creation of a “meeting point”, with cafeteria, restaurant and convenience store, with public access.
In 06 months the remaining houses were sold.
Contrary to the local trend, by a vernacular architecture,
was adopted a modulated structure, with metallic pillars and flat slabs which also function as a bracing for the 03 vaults in solid brick, regional domain technique.
In the inner part, the tables develop in an apparently spontaneous way, in contrast to the modulated structure.
The built in plantbeds that surrounds this area, together with the pure glass, reinforce the sensation of contact with the outside, that the climate does not allow to use for most of the year.
