Forest house – Botanical Garden, Rio de Janeiro / 2014
On the street level, there existed yet recreation facilities with a living, kitchen, and changing rooms and a sauna. The higher level of the plot has the best views, on the Rodrigo de Freitas Lagoon and the Ipanema beach, and it is where the house was located.
The owners wished that the arrival at the house, with the car, be covered.
The house consists of a solid block of concrete from which the metallic structure, lighter and diaphanous, is projected towards the slope and view.
Three levels equipped with elevator were created: in the entrance level there is an office; In the middle level are bedrooms and family room; In the last one, there is the social area, with living room, kitchen and balcony, from where you can enjoy the best views, through the canopy of existing trees, preserved almost entirely.
